Collectibles
Borrow against your collectibles
Yes. If you own high-value collectibles with an established resale market, MarketLoan is being built so you can borrow against them instead of selling. Your items are professionally valued, held in insured custody, and returned to you when you repay. You keep the collection and any future upside.
How it's valued
Collectibles are valued by independent, insured professionals who look at authenticity, condition, rarity, and how liquid the resale market is. Grading, certificates of authenticity, and provenance all help. Items with an active, established market and verifiable authenticity are the strongest fit — that's what makes an honest valuation possible.
How it's held in custody
Your collectibles are shipped insured and held by a professional custody partner in insured storage for the life of the loan. They're tracked and protected the entire time, and returned to you when you repay.
How the loan is secured
Every loan is secured by the asset you pledge and by a UCC-1 lien — a public notice that records the lender's claim on that specific item — filed when your loan agreement is accepted.
Loans on MarketLoan are funded by verified accredited investors; you don't deal with them directly.
If a loan isn't repaid, the asset is sold to cover it — a consequence you'll see clearly disclosed before you accept any offer.

Collectibles loan FAQ
- What kinds of collectibles qualify?
- High-value collectibles with an established, liquid resale market and verifiable authenticity — for example graded trading cards, rare coins, or well-documented memorabilia. The exact eligibility list is published at launch.
MarketLoan is in development. This describes a planned product, not an offer or solicitation of any security or loan, and not legal, financial, tax, or investment advice.
- Why does the resale market matter?
- Because the loan is secured by the item, there has to be a real market where it could be sold if a loan defaulted. An established resale market is also what makes a fair, independent valuation possible in the first place.

- Does grading or authentication help?
- Yes. Third-party grading, certificates of authenticity, and clear provenance help confirm what an item is and what condition it's in, which supports a stronger valuation.
