Borrow against your watch

Yes. If you own a luxury or collectible watch, MarketLoan is being built so you can borrow against it instead of selling it. The watch is professionally valued, held in insured custody, and returned to you when you repay the loan. You keep ownership and any future value.

How it's valued

A watch is valued by independent, insured professionals, not by MarketLoan and not by the people funding your loan. Brand, reference, condition, and paperwork all matter — the original box, papers, and service history help support the strongest valuation. That independent number is what your offer is based on.

How it's held in custody

For the life of the loan, your watch is shipped insured and held by a professional custody partner in insured storage — not left in a back room. It's tracked the entire time and returned to you when the loan is repaid.

How the loan is secured

Every loan is secured by the asset you pledge and by a UCC-1 lien — a public notice that records the lender's claim on that specific item — filed when your loan agreement is accepted.

Loans on MarketLoan are funded by verified accredited investors; you don't deal with them directly.

If a loan isn't repaid, the asset is sold to cover it — a consequence you'll see clearly disclosed before you accept any offer.

Watches loan FAQ

Can I get a loan against a Rolex, Patek, or AP without selling it?
That's exactly what MarketLoan is being built for. Established brands and collectible references with documented provenance are a strong fit. Your watch is valued by insured professionals, held in insured custody, and returned when you repay. The exact eligibility list is published at launch.

Does the box and papers matter?
Yes. Original box, papers, and service history all help confirm authenticity and condition, which supports a stronger valuation. You can still request a valuation without them, but complete documentation usually helps.

Is my watch insured while you hold it?
Yes. Your watch is insured in transit and held in insured storage with a professional custody partner for the whole loan. If the loan isn't repaid, the watch is sold to cover it — disclosed clearly before you accept any offer.

Do you check my credit to lend against a watch?
