Privacy Policy

Effective: September 16, 2026
Last updated: September 19, 2026

MarketLoan Ltd., a Delaware corporation ("we," "us"), operates the MarketLoan website at marketloan.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what we collect on the Site, why, and your choices. It covers this informational website only; the future MarketLoan lending marketplace will have its own, more detailed privacy policy.

1. What we collect

  • Information you give us. When you join the waitlist we collect your email and the side of the marketplace you're interested in. When you request a call we collect your name, email, and any company or message you provide. If you book a call, that is handled by Google's scheduling tool under Google's terms.
  • Usage & device data. Pages viewed, referrers, approximate location (derived from IP), browser and device type, and on-page interactions, collected automatically via analytics if you accept analytics cookies.
  • Cookies & similar technologies. Analytics identifiers and preference cookies (see §6).

We do not collect financial account numbers, government IDs, or payment information through the Site, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16 (see §9).

2. How we use it

  • Respond to inquiries and requests you send us.
  • Send product updates to people who join the waitlist.
  • Understand Site usage and improve the product (analytics).
  • Security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. Who we share it with

Service providers acting for us under contract: PostHog (analytics and surveys), Intercom (customer support and chat — see §4), Supabase (database), Upstash (rate limiting), Cloudflare (hosting, security, and content delivery), Google (Google Analytics, and Google Calendar for scheduling), and professional advisors where required. We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce rights, or in a corporate transaction.

4. Customer support and chat

We use Intercom to run the chat window on this Site. Intercom is our service provider: it processes what you send only to provide support for us, under contract.

Who answers you. Support conversations are answered by a person on our team. We may add an automated assistant in future. If we do, it will identify itself as automated at the start of the conversation, and you will be able to ask for a person at any time.

When you use the chat, we collect:

  • Message content. Everything you type or send in the chat, including any file or image you attach, and our replies.
  • Contact details. Your email address and name, if you give them to us or if you are signed in.
  • Where you were. The page URL you had open when you started the chat, and the pages you visit while the chat is open.
  • Device & browser. Browser and device type, operating system, IP address, and the approximate location derived from it.
  • Identifiers. First-party cookies Intercom sets in your browser so your conversation continues across pages and visits (see §6).

AI processing. Intercom uses third-party artificial-intelligence providers as sub-processors for some of its features. Where such a feature is used, the contents of a support conversation may be processed by those providers on Intercom's behalf. Those third-party providers are contractually restricted from using our data to train their models.

Please do not send sensitive information in chat. Do not put Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, bank or card numbers, or account passwords into the chat window. If you need to send something like that, ask us and we will give you a secure way to do it.

How long we keep it. We keep support conversations for as long as we need them to answer you, keep a record of what we told you, and meet our legal record-keeping obligations, and we delete or de-identify them after that.

Reaching a human. Ask for a person in the chat window at any time, or email us at the address in §11.

5. Retention

We keep contact and waitlist information until it is no longer needed for the purposes above or you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained per our analytics provider's configured retention period. We delete or de-identify data when it is no longer needed.

6. Cookies and analytics choices

The Site uses PostHog and Google Analytics for analytics, and Intercom for support chat. Nothing loads until you choose. Analytics and the support chat stay off unless you select "Accept" on the cookie notice shown on your first visit. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do-Not-Track signal, we treat it as a choice to decline: analytics and the support chat stay off and we do not ask you again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Support-chat cookies. When the chat window loads, Intercom sets these first-party cookies on this Site so your conversation stays with you across pages and return visits. They are first-party only: they are not used for advertising, and they do not track you across other websites.

  • intercom-id-[app_id] — identifies you anonymously to the chat so a conversation can continue. Stored in your browser without a set expiry.
  • intercom-session-[app_id] — keeps your chat session going and gives you access to your earlier messages. Lasts 1 week.
  • intercom-device-id-[app_id] — identifies your device, which helps prevent abuse of the chat. Lasts 270 days.

If you choose "Decline", or if you never choose, the chat window does not load and these cookies are not set. You can still reach us by email at the address in §11.

7. Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share), and to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. EEA/UK visitors (GDPR): rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, and object; our legal bases are legitimate interests (analytics, security) and consent where required. Exercise any right by contacting us at the address below.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, TLS, and vendor diligence. No method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we delete any such information on discovery.

10. Changes

We will post changes here with a new effective date; material changes will get a prominent notice.
